Evilbenny Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Just finished my latest project. I combined four different kits for the build. I started with the frame and engine from an old MPC kit, the cab from a U.S.A. 1 monster truck and the bed from a snap fast kit. I scratch built a goose neck plate, rear bumper and tool box from sheet styrene. Wheels are from a Monogram F-350. Finish is Krylon Banner Red. Edited October 30, 2013 by Evilbenny

Fabrux Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Nice phantom! In 1988 the 3500 trucks would've had the same bodystyle as the 73-87, IIRC. I've been trying to build a regular cab dually for a while now but need to find a frame...
hjracing Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Wow! Really good build! I like the details. Clean and great looking truck.

Evilbenny Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Thanks for all the kind words. I had a great time at the MCMA show this past Saturday and a photographer from another model mag took pictures of this truck. I hope it gets selected for the mag.
