MoparMark Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Hey I just got these done recently , yes I'm sure everyone in here has built there own Nancy rear engine so I finally got around to doing mine. It's all mostly stock except for the body skin which I made a vaccuform one piece body instead of the never fitting panels that are in the kit. Also the rear wheels are a little bigger and I made correct wing struts that attach to the top of the bell housing. The Ivo car, I couldn't resist making a car I wanted to make a log time ago. Thanks for looking.
Mooneyzs Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Mark....these are both beautiful builds. I am very impressed by them. Are these 1/16th or 1/25th scale? Again nice work!!
John Teresi Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Mark......BEAUTIFUL work!!!!!!!.........love the Ivo car.
Chris in Berwyn Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Fantastic. The tinwork on the Ivo car is amazing!!
AZ Boy Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I second everything that's been said above. Beautiful builds (both of them)!

F/C NUT Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Excellent work on both cars. How did you do the tin work? Nice
MoparMark Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Thanks everyone for the great responses. To answer a few questions both cars are 1/25 and the tinwork is a clear decal I made that is applied over aluminum painted panels then a slight clear coat of lacquer with a little transparent amber in it. Thanks again.
dragcarz Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Fantastic looking build, great, well executed detail!
gtx6970 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Me likey, Especially the AA/FC . Love the interior tin work
W-409 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Wow, very beautiful builds! Fantastic paint jobs on both, and I really like the detailing too. If the pics were taken on Drag Strip or something like that, I would be sure that they are 1:1 Scale builds. Great Job!
dragin70s Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Those are amazing. I have yet to do the Nancy car, and yours will be a reference point for sure. Great work on both.

vintagedragfan Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 yes, beautiful work on both! love them both!!
1ABF/Cdriver Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Mark, Do I need to paint the panels or can decals go over the chrome, or is it a matter of adhesion?
MoparMark Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 What worked for me was I painted the panels and fuel cell with aluminum paint then with clearcoat lacquer and then the decals on top of that. Finished off with a clear coat with a little amber in it. Hope this helps.
Truck parts Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Great build on both cars. Outstanding detail work.
