Nick F40 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Just like the title says, this Focus is getting me back in from months of not really building. This was my first time grafting something on (I took the tuner front bumper and cut the bottom piece off that and glued it on and smoothed it out with the stock bumber and i think it turned out great, i like it alot better! ) also my first polishing job, thanks Cruz! Paint is Tamiya Gunmetal with Dupli-Color clear and is built box stock, enjoy!
Andy Wyatt Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Looking good Nick! I think we better up the age for juniors to 25 or so...don't need all this competition on the tables each month!
dub Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Looks great! I really like the front bumper treatment. I was going to use the tuner bumper with the bottom shaved a bit and the lower air ducts filled, but it still looked too big. Now you are going to make me get mine done for the Nov. meeting. Oh yeah, did you lower it or is that stock? I don't have the suspension together enough on mine to know if it needs "adjustment"
Nick F40 Posted September 25, 2007 Author Posted September 25, 2007 why you say that Andy? and as the suspension, believe it or not, this is stock with the body kit on and with that treatment i did with the front it was really lowered and i just tucked the wheels right in there. i did have the rotors silver with the callipers red but since i have the wheels tucked in they are not even with the wheel so i used my sharpie but ya i wouldnt mind buying this kit for the wheels and i was surpriesd to how low i could get it!
MrObsessive Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Nice build Nick! Your polishing turned out great for your paint! See what a little elbow grease can do?
Randy Kern Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Superior job Nick, it really looks good! This being your first model using the polishing system, it's almost as good as the teacher. Right, Cruz?. Great job, now do your homework!
cruz Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 So there's where the VW rims went to!!!!!!!!! Nice job on that man, don't thank me for the polishing job, thank yourself for having the courage to scratch the s&$*%t out of your model and bring it back to life!!!!!!!!!
Nick F40 Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 those wheels came in the kit! and yes i scratched that all up!
