OldTimer50707 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I've followed this build on YouTube and "You da Man" Dr. Cranky.
Sixties Sam Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Fantastic model, Doc! A real eye grabber with tons of personality! Great work! Sam
vintagedragfan Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 nice job Doc, paint scheme fits the car well
Custom Mike Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Gotta agree with Jon Doc, this is a real beauty! The color combo is just perfect, and the new decals look great on it!
brett Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Very cool Doc, your decals look great , the whole car is very striking
JasonFL Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 You build them fast and beautiful. This one came out great doc and the decals are killer. I actually really like those first rims you had in the mock up photo, they weren't the stock steeliness are they? Looking good tho, nice work.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate the kind words. By now you are way tired of hearing me say it, but the 49 Merc is the kind of kit EVERYONE has to build at least once. All that's missing now are the lake pipes and this one is as good as finished.
1930fordpickup Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 This is an awesome car ! They keep getting better and better Doc. Can you build these with your eyes closed now ?
Dr. Cranky Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 I don't know about building with my eyes closed, but I probably no longer need the instructions. LOL.
Dominik Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I don't know about building with my eyes closed, but I probably no longer need the instructions. LOL. *lol*....i also do. the 49 Merc is a "must have" in a builders live. Doc, i love the colorsheme and your eye for placing the decals. red and white...beautiful! and i ask myself, why i didn't paint a car with it? Looks great!
Dr. Cranky Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 We are done with this one too. Check out the finished pictures in UNDER GLASS. Thank you.
