Here's my latest, a Hasegawa 1/24th scale Kubelwagen. This is a car so I put it here. ;)

Tamiya paint, oils and enamels to weather. I wired the engine, but it is so dark I cannot get a good pic. I'll post a new one of that later.

Battlefield 1942 game back in 2002 had the best kubelwagens you could blow up a whole b 17 by ramming one into it ! lol

Thanks guys.

Geoff it was a really straight forward build, but you have to watch the fitment of the rear axles to the struts or she'll be cockeyed. That and a ton of visible injector pin marks just where they can be seen.

It was a fun kit though, and in that scale easy to weather.

When's the Desert Classic?

June 20th G. Staying at the Embassy Suites. And, as far as I know, for the very first time, we'll be reading, and recording, the names of the 6,000+ Fallen Heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan. The Moms are pretty excited that the Vietnam Veterans Gathering is kicking the reading off at their convention. Seems proper to me since these ladies are the Mothers of those Fallen Heroes.

Desert Classic is April 20 in Phoenix. It's the only time Jonathan will show up. He's afraid of me and Danno together ; ) little he knows my wife will protect him!

Jim I'm anxiously awaiting that.

Semper Fi and welcome home shipmate.

Well, I won't be making the Desert Classic.

You can get in on reading names too, G. Anybody can. Whatever we don't finish in Vegas, we'll take on tour down here in FLA. We WILL get it done. It took us 51 weeks of traveling around to do the 58, 282 names on The Wall. It's done and updated every year after they add names in Washington, DC. It's very cool when we bring in The Wall. We set up 4 speakers behind The Wall and play the DVD softly. If you're more than 6 feet away, you won't hear the names. It takes anout 37 hours to run through all the readings and then it just starts up again.

Semper Fi, Brother. Sure hope to catch up with you and yours on this trip.
