mitchell Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 build this truck to be a shop truck for my future garage diorama . Very old Tamiya kit but a very interesting subject. build it like it is a 25 years old delivery truck. made the rear door functional by drill the hinges.
crazyrichard Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 whow !! did not expect that reading the title .. thats awsome !!!!!
Guest Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Way cool. Is it curbside or full detail? Is thi kit even available?
Zarana-X Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 NIce work! I remember seeing this kit in the old Tamiya catalogs. We don't have the real ones here.
Erik Smith Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Way cool. Is it curbside or full detail? Is thi kit even available? Nice work. Great weathering. It is a curbside. It has the bottom half of the engine molded into the separate frame. It actually would not take much to add an engine. Kit hasn't been available for some time but eBay auctions usually go for $40-50.
Rob Hall Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Neat build...those funky little vans are interesting. I remember seeing this kit in a Tamiya catalog from around 1996.
Austin T Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Very nice job. Wish I had that kit,it's fairly rare stateside.
mitchell Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 yes, a simple curbside kit. This kit is hard to find even in Asia. Got it off the local e-bay and the box has been in a humid environment over say 25 years. it was rough and the decals are all yellow. But I build this kit when i was young and the result was not good. This is a like a revenge build. Also good for a shop truck in a garage diorama.
mitchell Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 inspired by fellow member. Time to make this truck even older.
Austin T Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Excellent work! Do you have a picture of the entire truck?
mitchell Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 this is a full view of this sad shop truck.
