  1. Just about finish with this 1/12. A big kit that is well thought out and fits well. Although like a blown up 1/25 but the casting and details are outstanding. Did add a lot of wiring and added lots of small detail parts to make it more realistic. Even without opening doors or trunk, the car itself is great.

  3. Revell kit. Great details compared to AMT Camaro. Had a lot of fun building it.
  4. If this car is real, then I am rich. But I am still not rich so it is a 1/25 scale car.
  5. Just done this kit. Haven't done a Revell kit in a long time. Very detail and the engraving on the engine parts are excellent. But it does require good skill to make it into a convincing model since the detail level is so high. I did some research and added a lot more wires and hoses under the hood. the kit is still missing some fine details.
  6. got the details done on it. time to move it to the other section.
  7. almost done. fitted the body and the chassis together. Just a few more body accessories. Added some scratch parts and detail up some of the kit parts to make it more realistic. The only real problem of this kit that i found is the windshield. it is a bit too thick, other than that, kudos to Revell for this effort.
  8. more work done on it. interior and chassis
  9. Long time since I built an Revell kit. A great kit with great details. Perfect for super detailing. Got the interior and engine almost done.
  10. For me, I am used to building Tamiya kits. This AMT come across as a very toyish and basic kit. For example, the casting of the chassis is rather basic, but makes it easy to lower. Some parts have no details in it at all. For example the interior and the glass, it has no reference line where the black should be. The dash is also rather simple compare to Japanese and Revell kits. The side window molding has barely a reference line and etc. The plus is that it comes with a head liner and body scale is very accurate. A challenging kit for people with less skills, IMHO. And this is just a curbside kit. I included a picture of the actual car.
  11. Did this one for a client to match his exact car. Not a very good kit at all but at least the body shape is quite nice.
  12. share picture of the one I am building right now.
  13. I have to build one of these as a exact replica in 3 days. Quite a bit or work needed since it will be super-detailed. So I might get it mostly done in 3 days for a magazine photoshoot and bring it back to finish the details on it. Since I use the rally car version as a base, I need a regular Tamiya version for the bumpers, so I will build one for my own collection.
  14. modify the steering using the original wheel as the base. Not quite perfect but close enough. So call this one done and will be moving this to Under glass.
  15. the paint color is Tamiya Gun Metal, very similar to Porsche's slate grey. It is almost done, just some details needed to finish it up. The steering wheel can be easily install since this is a snap kit base model. Very toy like so easy to take apart.
  16. quick build since this Tamiya is just a simple curbside snap kit. Tamiya might have the best scaled Porsche 911 but it does have have a few things that need to be dealt with, such as molded in license plate frame, wrong exhaust and seats. Other than that, it is a great kit. Since I am building this car with my friend's car as a reference, I modified the exhaust, scribe in the sunroof and have still have to scratch build a aftermarket steering wheel.
  17. took the car apart since the owner of the car wanted to do some modification to the car.
  18. almost ready to be delivered. A very fun and fast build for me.
  19. working on this one as birthday present for a friend. Wonderful kit and the details are crisp and easy to fit. Suspension even have movement on it which is first for me in a Tamiya 1/24 kit.
  20. it's about done. just need to do some finishing touches on it and maybe give it a wax. This one will be the number 2 car in the garage scene that i am planning.
  21. more work done on it since i want to get this out of the way, my bench is full of cars waiting to be build. Got most of the car done, just have to fit detail stuff and start weathering it.
  22. after building the blue one and it will be be gone. So i figure I build another one since I ruin some parts on the blue and bought another one. So here is the build. I will use this car in the diorama i plan to build in the near future.
