thanks for all the positive comment. The second Beetle is well on it's way. I damaged the clear parts on the blue car so I got this one for the windows. This new red/white one will be built with quite a bit patina build into it, to cover the fogged windows.

Did this car for charity auction in Hong Kong. Hope it will fetch good dollar for the auction. This kit is so good that I am building one right now for myself. That one will be more fun and technical. Here are some outdoor shot I took of this Blue Beetle.

Here is a Karman Ghia that I did a while ago. Still a car on the road look, a bit of rust on the window edges and wheel arches. Also a broken head light hence the rust on the inside of the light. Also chrome on the car is shaded.

the beetle is done. so time to move it out of this section. good build but ran into a bit of trouble with the window. Other than that, it is straight forward and enjoyable.

I am sure the tamiya kit is a better casting all around.

Bill, do get it. It is a really excellent kit.

going all out. Will be following you on this topic. This is a lovely kit and I echo you with some of the made in Philippine kit now, so,e of the tooling is getting old so parts are not very crisp. I will be getting another few of this car. Not going all out like yours but will convert one to a 1750, which is my favorite look of the 105 coupes. Here is one that I build a year ago. -
Janis Joplin's Porsche 356C and Janis figure...

Following your post. I love the detail you are putting into this. Not posted anything yet since the car is a rebuild. Will post the car once it is all done. On the B, just a repaint and putting details. A lot of stuff is broken on it already and just have to make do with what is good. The Speedster on the other hand will be a fresh build and it should be fun. Keep up the good work. Right now, building all aircools at the moment. Karman Ghia and a 66 Beetle. -
Topic has been covered lots of time before already but the subject is so adorable. Building this Tamiya version for a charity auction in Hong Kong. A good friend of mine auctioned a few persoanl Porsche of his for his charity organization. So I am building this car for him to auction off. Here is the work in progress. This will be build as my A-plus offering, which is the car will be super-detailed in every area using the stock kit as base. The dash.

Sweet looking car. Original body looks much better than the later body aero coupe.
-
going to build some floor and maybe a curbing so it will look better.

Use some of my builds this year and work with a professional photographer on some more realistic photos. These pictures are from my camera not the professional. Just testing a few different angles.

a vintage tamiya kit I picked up a while ago. Decals are old so I decided to make it into privateer vintage rally car. This kit is full with details so it was fun to do a super detail work on it. Then I weathered it to look like it ran a stage in a historic rally.. Thanks for looking,

great work. Currently I am rebuilding a B cab that I build a long time ago and also Speedster at the same time. Both are the EM kit. -
Jurgen, thank u for your comments. I believe you are the owner of that Mk2 Jaguar in this forum. I have to say you are the master. Black does work for this Morgan and I got the inspiration from a picture posted by my friend.

thanks for the comment. Actually I purposely orange peel the paint on this car to stimulate the age of this car. The photos make the car look that good. Thanks for the explanation on the 1/16 scale Morgan plus8. I think it will be a long stretch to find that kit and I am very happy with the Tamiya offering. If anyone comes up, I will do another one doing a two tone paint. The suspension and the engine on the car is just typical Tamiya excellent.
-
I really have no idea about the 1/16 of this Morgan. Never even seen it before. But this 1/24 kit is well worth doing.

No, Car modeling is really dying in this country. I am sure it is the same all around the world since die-cast cars are so vast and cheap now. I personally cannot stand die-cast car since they do not have the details that I look for in a model. People like me are a dying breed now.

deleted some of the pictures of this car, so I am added a few more picture of this car. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for all the great comments. This is a Tamiya 1/24 kit. One of the best kit in their collection in my opinion. Engine detail is great and the engine lid opening is also excellent although fragile. And the leather strap on the hood is made of soft rubber texture. Overall, an excellent kit.
