Wonderbread Kustomz Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 This was started last year, but haven't been working on it much. But I'm back on it again. Maybe if all goes well, I can have it done by the time the Southern NNL comes around in November. Here are some pics. New rims and the tires are Pegasus 5.20s flipped... Thinking I may try a similar paint scheme to this... Not sure on the same colors , but I do like the pink in this....
lazlow Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 If you are going for that vw in pic 6, those are the same rims that are on the aluma coupe qwick build model. love the suicides.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 Thanks guys... I think that I am going to use the wheels I have on it, even though those from the coupe look good ....
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Long time since I posted an update... We have primer... But needs more work...
slusher Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Love VW bugs James can't wait to see you build this one...
ningoth4 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Looking good! Love VW projects. I have several to do. Working on a Manx right now. Kevin
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Thanks guys... I am not thrilled with the fact that these old Revell kits don't come with detailed interiors such as door panels... So, I will be making some panels and a sub enclosure for it...
Skydime Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 That's turnin out to be one bad little Beetle there. I like how you put the suicide hinges so close to the door frame and kept everything really tight to the body. And for that 1:1 bug, I think that's the biggest rims I have ever seen on one....but overall it's pretty sweet.
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 Thanks Ken... This was the second time I had to hinge it... The first time the hinges were to big, so I had to redo it so I can make some door panels...
streetmachine11 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 lookin good so far i like that paint scheme its nice to see something differentJason
