Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 The other day I was cleaning and waxing some of my old builds, and I "foud" my 1996 Mustang GT and thought in sharing it with you guys. I built this one around 1999, or maybe 2000 from a Revell kit of the Boss Shinoda Mustang. I didn't like the decals, the front spoiler, and the wheels, so I used the wheels from a snap kit to kind of reverse it to a regular Mustang. I pinted the turn signals wrong, and also did other mistakes, but it turned out ok. The paint used on the body was a spray can automotive red from Sherwin Williams's Colorgin brand. 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1996 Ford Mustang GT by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
slusher Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Tu'lio very sharp mustang. Great color and finish. l am not big on decals.. Very nice work..
Scanduhless Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 that thing is bad. I love the factory overspray youve done on the underside. cant get much more realistic than that. Very Cool
3men2s Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 That's the 95 gt with the 5.0 engine and the horizontal tail lights, I said it cause I own a 96 gt and I am looking for a kit of the same to built, and when I saw this thread I jumped. But besides that..IT LOOKS ASOME,.....very reallistic and clean.
Chuck Most Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 That's the 95 gt with the 5.0 engine and the horizontal tail lights, That's the only gripe I have, the car is a '94 or '95. Still, a lovely job on this one.

AMT did a 96'gt coupe in their snapfast plus series back around 1997 and you could kitbash it with AMT's 97 gt kit to get a detailed build, check ebay or post in the wanted section here in the forum maybe someone can help you.

I built her more than 10 years ago, so I'm not sure about why I used the year 1996, and even had a 1996 licence plate installed on her
freakshow12 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Anyone else notice that kit has the export flares on it? I have one of these bodies but don't know why they are molded in there
