Tumbler75 Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Wow! Can't wait to see that come into view. The hood looks great! I love old car and especially love MG's and Minis. I had a 1978 MGB Roadster that was Union Jack Blue. I miss that li'l car. It's Replacement a 1974 MGB GT jus' wasn't as much fun. LoL
kennb Posted May 21, 2013 Author Posted May 21, 2013 Thank you both for the generous comments, sometimes i feel I do not make enuff progress for posting......also that I vear off the beaten path of the Bentley....but I feel it is all working to the ultimate goal of completing projects in the long run............
kennb Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 First K3 in colour for the racing team......................................still need to do the fenders and engine but getting there.................... NEEDS TO BE SANDED AND A FEW MORE COATS OF CLEAR Thanks for following along with me........................
Lunajammer Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Sorry you couldn't find a way to the Mpls. NNL North. These things on the primer table would have been a great conversation piece. As good as it looks in paint, too bad it hides some of your hard work.
kennb Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 When is it...or is it over already...I would like to go
kennb Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 Today I started the preliminary masters for a new project that will be worked in the future,,,,,,,his is the first master of one of the wheels,,,,,,,,,and rims. I have not done much else in the last few days.
sjordan2 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 (edited) 5 nice K3 shots here. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/gallery/34632/MG-K3-Magnette.html Edited May 29, 2013 by sjordan2
kennb Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 Thank you Skip....they are a great addition to my files,,,,,very nice crisp photos indeed
kennb Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 For those wondering,,,,,I have a pile of things in the paint shop so in waiting for them I diverged again into new territory....the previous projects will get done but paint drying has it own schedual.....so I will post a little of what I have been working on this week...Mind you this is about 1/14th scale,,,,,,roughly.......The first picture has a ruller so you can get an idea of the size..... For those following on the large scale site....It is a double post... Thanks to all my followers and those tagging along for the ride,,,bumpy as it is.......... comments are always welcome
kennb Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 As you know I have again wandered off the subject and immersed myself in yet another K3.... a quick up date.(this is 1/14th scale) I have been working on the engine and front end architecture. The engine is slowly coming together along with the sheet metal and louvered hood. Obviously all the louvers are hand cut and lack sophistication of the real thing but they give the correct appearance for this model. The hoods for these are always a challenge to get them right in plastic and I need a little filler to clean it up along with some fitting. This will be done as the sides of the hood are placed. Kenn
kennb Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 comparison between the 2 scales of K3's I will be posting more on the Bentley this week,,,,,final paint on the body. additional work on the body everything is either pinned or snap fit.
kennb Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Finally got some time and inspiration to get back to the Bently and get some colour on it......still have a long ways to go but getting there,,,,,,,,,,,The body, hood, and fenders are final colour,,,,still have the doors to sand and recoat,,,and the chassis,..more coming.
Mike Kucaba Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 There should be a smiley face with no mouth outline...BECAUSE I AM SPEECHLESS!!!
blunc Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I was wondering if you were going to get back to this...since you have so many other masterpieces in the creation process.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 This thread is an eye candy factory. I am just amazed at all the painstaking steps you've performed thus far.
peekay Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Amazing work. Bucket-loads of creativity on every page - and no small ammount of determination either.
