Dyno Davo Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hi guys, I've been giving the drag cars a rest for the moment. Got hooked on building some of the Ed Roth cars Here is Tweety Pie, nice little kit to build. Added my own machined guage faces, custom mixed the royal purple paint and lavender interior. Also swapped out the front tires with some more realistic looking ones.
slusher Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Great looking model. love the engine detail and wheels. l have never seen one on any forum before. Thank for posting this classic Dave..
Burnout Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Wow! You really did a nice job on all three of these Ed Roth masterpieces. I like this one best. The paint and white pinstriping are perfect.

jaydar Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Nice build. Was the lavender interior your creation or did the real Tweedy Pie have it too? The instructions say white, i think. joe.

Hi Joe, I built this from a reference photo of when Ed showed the car not long after he purchased it. The changes he did included the spinner caps instead of the mini moons it had and he re-did the interior in Lavender. The car went through a few other changes to where it is today restored back to close to how Ed bought the car.

Dan Helferich Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Very nice! You almost never see this one built. I would guess we will now, inspired by your excellent build.
