Hey guys. This is a vintage Tamiya kit. It's a 1980 280zx. The interior is two tone brown and hull red, but the pic doesn't pick it up. Did some engine detailing and made the engine compartment out of styrene. Also gave it the old school 80's sticker treatment. It's rolling on ssr wheels from fujimi with aoshima stretched tires. hope you like it.

Very nicely done. I liked that you blacked out the B pillars, like on the latter ZX, but you missed out on the body colored bumpers and headlight covers, that really improved the looks of this car.

Wow.

I love old school Japanese cars (obviously) and this one is right on the money. Is there a writeup on how to do tire stretching?

these tires are from aoshima. they come this way. a good friend of mine is casting these. he's got it down really good. i'll try to get him to post them.

I hear ya. it is a tough kit to find. I got this one by trading a guy from south Africa. I did see one on ebay not long ago,i'll send you a link if I see it again. thanks for the great comment.
