crazyjim Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Just finished 2 builds and here's the first one. This 442 is painted in HOK magenta kandy over lapis blue. I recently was able to score an HOK color chip book and this is the first example I tried. Hope you like it. I wanted to use the kit air filter, but it would have covered all the work I went through. I make these little easel signs for all my builds nowadays. At some contests I add LED spotlights and sometimes mirror bases I LOVE the Rustoleum texture paint.
crazyjim Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Thanks, Al. Those who are in the know, realize the SHINY :) RULES!! The rest is just dull.
Silver Foxx Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 A great build , I like your diorama presentation.
crazyjim Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Thank you, Bruce. I'm kinda in the process of building a new dio.
slusher Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Jim as always outstanding work. A great finish and color. The foil pops on the colr. Shiney does rule..
W-Machine Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Now that looks real nice! I most certainly approve.
TooOld Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 That's a beautiful 442 Jim ! I love the interior and the purple paint . I'm also a fan off the texture paint and I like the chrome wheels better !
Duntov Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Wow Jim!!! This is one of your best yet!!! Regards Bill
crazyjim Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 Thank you all so very much. Having the HOK color chip might be dangerous for me. So many new color options. Everyone should try the texture paint. It's really cool stuff.
jaydar Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Really grest build! That is one that you see and want to try. Joe.
realgone58 Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Looking good Jim...........I like the color and I like what you did with the engine. Looks way better than an air cleaner!
crazyjim Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Thanks, Al. In the old days, when I didn't do fuel lines or carb linkage, I would've used the kits' HUGE air filter.
Grumpa Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Beautiful Cutlass Jim! I like your choice of interior color with the blue exterior.
CrazyGirl Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 WOW Jim that is wicked sweet love the color and what a great interior and cool engine !! and I love how you set up taking pics
crazyjim Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Thank you, CrazyGirl. It's HOK paint - the only paint to shoot. Just ask Fatkidd.
drifterdon Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Super nice Olds Jim. I like the front plate. Is this a personal touch?
