Old Sprinter Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) I'm building this for the AZ Motor sports Hall Of Fame in Phoenix. It will be the Stanton #75 house car that ron Shuman drove back in 1979 and 80. This is a mock up with the parts I've made so far. Edited April 14, 2013 by Old Sprinter
majel Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 This is going to be a very cool model. I remember going to Manzanita in the mid to late seventies to watch the super modifieds run, and remember watching Ron Shuman, he was a Manzanita staple.
Old Sprinter Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) Manzanita was a great track; I wish it was still around. I finally got the tires and wheels done so I can build some fun stuff. Edited April 24, 2013 by Old Sprinter

Draggon Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Fantastic Ken. Great workmanship there, looks just like the 1:1. Why the roadster headers instead of zoomies, and it's too darn clean!

Actually all the pictures I have from that year, this car had the more conventional sprint car headers. I do need to learn how to make them look dirty. They used let the exhaust pipes rust up, which would be anothe cool touch. Some guys can do that just perfect and others, not so much.
