Hi all , Posting a new build of the 84 C&H car.I'm gonna be using the Revell/Monogram trans am kit and the Slixx decals. I've passed it too many times at the NHRA museum saying I gotta give that a shot, so here it starts.For the body I've shaved off the rear spoiler of the Prudhomme Wendys car and pulled out the nose of the car to give it more of a point.

I've started already on the frame painting it Arctic Blue Metallic with a pinch of magenta, adding fuel cell, front suspension, rear axel, and roll bar padding, seat, and some engine work done

I'm using Pro-Tech plug wires and will use Pro-Tech braided line and hex nuts to plumb the car so it can look as accurate as can be.

Maybe you can help me out , do you know where the fire bottles for the cockpit are.i think there behind the seat above the rear axel .I could be wrong. Help from anyone would be great

Oh yea!! Looks great so far. Your wiring and front end work are really well done. Does this have operable steering? Looking forward to more.

I have an update for my build. Oh by the way thanks to all for all the great support.I did think about making the front axel movable but I'll do that on the next one. So anyway I put in the Mag and the oil filters in (supplied by Pro-Tech). Got the seat pad and seatbelts put in.

I ran the front fire bottle cables in ans well as the extinguisher lines

I attached the cockpit bottles above the rear axel as a guess as they would go there ,for I can't see them in reference photos on the interior boby tin,hope I'm right?

I added all the side levers into the cockpit and now that I have all the braided line and hex fittings I need from Pro-Tech I can plumb the engine and get ready to drop it in.Thanks for lookin

Mark, coming along nicely. Love the extra mile you've gone with the cables for hand levers (brake, etc.) that most don't think about. Also nice touch with running the harness/lap belts through the seat itself and tying it to the frame. Look forward to that engine work!!!

Hi All , I haven't been on in awhile so I thought I'd post some updates on my project. I have put in the engine and checking to make sure everything is lining up good

Have the engine finished and bolted in still using Pro Tech braided lines and fittingsaand the headers are brass with aluminum tips.

I have the chassis done except for the wheelie bars,fuel cell cap,and front hub covers.

Did all the body shop work ,pulled the nose out a little bit and took the Revell/Monogram rear spoiler off to put a more correct spoiler to the 1:1 deal. I laid down the paint using Testors aqua colors, Arctic Ice Blue with a little Kandy Scarlet and some PearleX Micropearl powder to give it a bit more of the violet feel I got when I saw the real Magilla at the NHRA museum. I custom mixed the lighter base color on the bottom and dusted a clear coat over that with a Micropearl and a scoach of violet pearlex powders mixed in to the clear

Absolutely great model. Can you share where you got the blower scoop from? I need several of these.

Yeah Mike , I was underwhelmed with what was out there so I made my own vacu-form buck that I can put on a dental 4"x4" vacuum form machine and pull .020 black styrene over it and add the ribs on top before painting

Mark. Unbelievable, gorgeous, inspirational work! Your blower scoop that you made is tremendous. The closest after market blower scoop of this variety that I have fond is from Calnaga Castings. If anyone knows of any other, please let us know.

Mark... I love seeing that you are back on this and the progress that you have made. The detail looks great on everything. I really like your attention to detail. Keep up the great work.
