Ira. I hate to inform you but those alien super chargers are going to blow those tomcat engines to bits as soon as the pilot hits the burner. Any judge at any show will defiantly dock you points for that. :)

Just goofing. Your build is awesome. Please keep it up

'59 IMPALA DASHBOARD!!!

I found that the Revell 1959 Impala Dashboard would be Perfect for Stingray, if it were modified a little bit...

CRATER BASE FOR STINGRAY!

I started with an old Lindberg Plastic Base and roughed it up with 120 Sandpaper. Then I glued a length of 1/8th inch Plastic Tubing in the hole.

This Tubing will hold the 1/16 inch Steeel Rod thay holds up Stingray.
Pieces of scrap plastic are used to brace up the Tubing and create a start for the Big Center Rock.

More pieces of plastic are glued in place with Zap-A-Gap, Green Label.

More pieces are added to create the look of a BiG Rock.

Then I covered the Rock with Putty and smushed it around with a putty knife.

CRATERS!

I used wheels from the parts box to start the Craters...

DSCN2934M_zpsc7f3ccb7.jpg

Then I applied putty around the Craters and then all over the Base.

Next I applied some White glue to the Base and then I sprinkled Sand all over it.

COLORFUL CRATERS!

I sprayed some Filler/Primer over the Base.

Then I applied a coat of white acrylic.

I started painting the Base to look like the Moon, but I couldn't get it to look right so I tried some more Earthy Colors...

STAR-SPANGLED COLOR!!!

I sprayed the Stingray with a few coats of Testors Star Spangled Blue. The Roof, Seat, Instrument Cluster, and Side Engines were left Diamond Dust Silver.

I masked off the Romulan Wings and part of the Tomcats Undersides. They will stay Silver too.
