gonzo64nova Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) I recently got this 61 Ranchero done just in time to take it to the NNL East. Im a pinstriper and decided to build it as a vehicle a pinstriper might be driving to and from swap meets and pinstriping gigs. I basically just lowered it and put steelies and wide whites on it then did a motor swap to a 427 FE Parts Pack motor. Then I loovered the hood. The bed has some swap meet finds in it (rusty gold) and also a pinstriper's paint box just in case a job pops up while out making the rounds of the shows. I painted it in a semi gloss copper color with a silver flaked roof and the flame decals from the Revell 48 Ford kit. Edited April 26, 2013 by gonzo64nova
gonzo64nova Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Pretty cool. Why didn't you pinstripe it? I didnt have any 1/25th scale striping brushes LOL Edited April 26, 2013 by gonzo64nova
Harry P. Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I like it, looks cool! But the flames wouldn't cross the door panel lines in one piece unless they had some sort of magic powers!
rmvw guy Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I like it a lot, Very cool! The wheels complete the look. Looks like you scored at the swap meet, nice touch and the paint work is beautiful, nice work!
vintagercr Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Bill, I saw your model last weekend and it looks cool!

Look closer they do go inside the door line and I cut them with a razor blade, guess I should run some thinned black in the panel lines. Bill
