Captain Obvious Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I had posted this in the "On The Workbench" forum, but with no replies on 185 views, I'm guessing people are sick of seeing these, but I'm gonna post it anyways... Testors Ultraviolet lacquer, hand-painted whitewalls, and I haven't seen any built yet with the steelies, so here ya go...
Peter Lombardo Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I like your attitude. Even if no one responds….post it anyway. Love the color, the flames (decals, I know) not so much. Wheels look very period.
dub Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Ditto on the color. Great job with the paint's finish too! I actually don't mind the flames as much, mostly because I can't apply decals that well yet. How can I not like them when the job is flawless? What little bit of the interior we can see looks good too.(only big downfall of this kit is the lack of interior visibility IMHO ) I know I'm not sick of seeing Mercs yet so keep 'em coming! Still have to finish mine...
Jeff Johnston Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I have one in progress painted almost the same color. I like the steelies.
Steve H. Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Darn, ya beat me to it... I'm trying to finish up a Merc in Ultraviolet, also! I know what you mean about no replies... same with my last workbench post. Very nicely done Merc... Its got that street tough attitude!
Dr. Cranky Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Mercs popping up everywhere. I love it. This one looks great!
oldcars Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I hope one my two kits that I bought comes out half as nice as yours. The flames look right on with the purple.
Towmaster Dave Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Looks great, I've got one close to being done painted Dusty Rose Pearl with a red base and thinking about using the flame decals. You did a nice job and nice choices on the build. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Mike Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I don't mind seeing Merc's everywhere. It means that Revell's done something NEW and EXCITING with the hobby to bring some life to it. Great color and it looks tough as nails.
promodwillys41 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I like the merc myself and I have one painted the same color went with another set of flames I had laying around great job
Raul_Perez Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Looks good!! I wish I had just a small part of the $$ that Revell is getting from this kit. Even more, I hope that this inspires them to build more new kits that the builders want!! Keep up the good work!!
