bsoder Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 just finished this up..I converted the AMT "Street Machine" kit to a factory stock with a dual quad 283 done in Cascade green/Shoreline beige..although no stock parts are provided, the kit itself is pretty decent although there are a lot of "sink" marks to fill on the body
MrObsessive Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 What a beautiful color! I don't think I've ever seen a '57 'Vette model done in that shade of green before! Very clean build too!
novadose71 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Nice clean build, and a very different color. Sounds like a lot of conversion work also. Is that the kit with the clear trailer and late model Chevy pickup? I've got that one buried here somewhere.
robertw Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Purrrrrdy !!!!! While the color, at least in these pics, isn't quite right as Cascade Green it looks very nice on this car. You've also done some nice detailing on this build. I'd be proud to have this model on my Corvette shelf. robw
mr moto Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Beautiful build! That shade of green really sets off the early Vette. I can't imagine why nobody has hit on that before!

This kit is just the car, the box has a pic of a Lime green car and says '57 Corvette Street Machine..Rob is correct that that this is not an exact Cascade green I mixed it to look as close as I could. Here's a pic of the 1:1 but I like it
cruz Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Outstanding build my friend, my favorite year Corvette
Peter Lombardo Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 nice job....love the color choice. It just screams 1950's. I, as a kid, loved those great tri color pastel paint jobs of the 50's. Nice build.
Harry P. Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Hey Brian... Find yourself a set of stock wheel covers for that thing! (and btw...foil the trim that runs along the top edge of the doors and across the seatbacks). Beautiful job. It's nice to see one of the rarer colors.
ismaelg Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Cool build! Your color choice says "50s" very loud and clear! Thanks,

I knew I forgot to foil something I have no idea where I would find the correct W/covers
