Looks great as usual! I dunno if I should use this as inspiration to build better models or just chuck all my stuff and concentrate on weed control in my yard as a hobby!

John, I've been quietly watching with interest and as usual your doing an amazing job so far. I'm always so impressed at how much you accomplish in such short periods of time. I also appreciate the fact that if you do make some small error or mistake (which normal folks wouldn't or couldn't see anyways) that you normally will mention it and just move on. As in, this is still a hobby, and it IS supposed to be fun after all. As long as you the builder are happy and satisfied with the build (and good enough for the girls you go with lol) thats all that really matters. Most of us really appreciate your being here and sharing your wonderful builds with us. I've been a fan of yours for years and I'm really glad you keep on doing what you do. Just needed to say that. Build on!

OK, what was the source of the carbs again?

Hi Mark.........the carbs are from my parts box.......I sanded the sides and added cut rubber tubbing..........I used pictures from the 1:1 car as reference........I also used "Pro Tech" linkage pieces and nut and bolt ends.......I wrapped wire mesh around the air cleaners........I still need to add the throttle cable and bracket set up...........it had a weird set up on the carb linkage........I did the best I could for what I could see........looking at my pictures I see a few things not even........probably not right but, close enough........once the scoop is attached it will will cover most of the carbs anyway..........and you wont be able to see the mistakes..........it is good practice for the next build :) ...........thanks

Mike.........thank you for your kind words........that means allot :) ..........I love to build models that are different......I love to challenge myself........if people like the project that I am building that makes my day...........if i can help someone that likes my idea and and want`s to know how I did it.......I will always help.........if I ever over look someone I apologize...........if people don`t like my projects or my work or point out my mistakes that`s cool........I have learned that it helps me be a better modeler.........I may not acknowledge it but, I remember sometimes?....... it helps because I do a variety of models........and I don`t know everything thing about every car...........and in a closing note........I love to build models..........thanks :)

Most of you guys are lucky to be able to go into your local hobby store and pick up detail parts like linkages and wire etc,you have no chance over here in England,it's terrible as 99% of model shops/hobby shops have now gone and we have to order a majority of our stuff online and you don't know what you will get as you can't physically see it and the shipping costs from America are crazy!

Anyhow John,it's looking awesome bud

John if you get stuck on something, you can call Todd Vanboekel in Redding, he's listed in the book (T&T Vanboekel) I'm sure he;ll answer any questions you might have, he might even have some better pictures of the car both finished & under construction that might help you out.
