gtx6970 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 (edited) Finally,, it's on the done side of the case. Only took nearly 12 years. And yes, the date shown on the 1st picture is legit. Thats how long this one has been waiting. It's an old Goodstuff resin body on a Johan Challenger interior tins and chassis . Best I can remember it's painted in testors candy apple red over a gold base on both the body and chassis. Engine just has some of the basic ignition wiring and fuel system on it just for fun. This one was my 1st attempt to make my own accetate windshield. It's not bad but far from perfect. Overall I'm happy with the finished build.. But real glad to get it to the ' finished ' side of the case. Edited May 14, 2013 by gtx6970

geetee66 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Looks great I agree, the first pic looks sweet. Like it was in a magazine or something... Nice to see it's survived intact all these years!
gtx6970 Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Thanks all, Looking at the pictures I think the ft of the body is sitting to high. Need to re-ck and see if I can get the ft of the body down farther like in the 1st picture. And I think I like the gold wheel centers on the ft better . I may just repaint them,,,,,, again
Mooneyzs Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Bill... Nice work bud. This looks great. That first pic is sweet
