Mopar - D
This is a Frontier resion design Dodge Big Horn that I'm using with a Revell KW dumper kit. I've changed out the Catapiller for a cummins and picked up a pair of front floatation tires on eBay. Just finished with the clear coat next will be installing the windshield finish the interior and will need to build supports for the cab. Here are my work in progress pictures so far. Looking for ward to comments. Edited May 20, 2013 by Mopar - D
Mopar - D
Also the kit came with quad head lights that I changed out to singles.

Jim B
Nice looking Big Horn. That's one tough Dodge.Funny though, he says it's a 1980, but I thought Dodge was out of heavy trucks by 1977.http://www.ebay.com/itm/1980-dodge-big-horn-CAB-1-25-/330924064884?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4d0c9c8074 Edited May 20, 2013 by Jim B

Mopar - D
Actually Dodge only made the Big Horn from 1972 to 1975 and only 261 built durn that time. There is a picture of a Big Horn that was customized with the quad lights but it would not of been a 1980's .

flat-top
Very nice , going to be a good looking dump truck.
Hessel
Looking good. I'm looking out for you making the windscreen. I do have this resin model and wonder how to make it with these curved edges. If you have a good solution I might contact you to make me one as well. Hessel the Netherlands
mikemodeler
Nice truck and should look great when done. Maybe it is me but for some reason that cab looks out of scale compared to the rest of truck, seems somewhat small compared to the hood and dump body. Hessel
Could be. The resin model is scale 1:25 and the dump box is a 1:24 Revell. The models of these different scales look good next to each other but when you combine parts it may look a little off. Hessel
Jim B
I thought the Revell of Germany Kenworth was 1/25? That's what the box says.
Mopar - D
The Revell KW box says 1/25 scale and the KW and the Dodge cabs are both the same size. I only have the cab sitting on the frame as when I finish it the cab will sit higher and not look as small to the dump body.
TUFF TIN
Nice to see something built out of the main stream. Kind of what could have been. Mike
mikemodeler
The window section of the cab looks off, like it is chopped down and not proportioned in scale. I like the idea of something different and there definitely wasn't a lot of these on the road!
Mopar - D
The front of on these rigs are big and make the cab look small.
