mikemodeler Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Not sure how much the wife will like it but there is a bunch of racing on TV tomorrow that I plan on catching some or all of! The Formula 1 Monaco Gran Prix starts at 7:30 Eastern, then the Indianapolis 500 at noon, followed by Nascar/Coca Cola 600 at 6 PM.
Nacho Z Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Me too! I'll have them on the tube. Not sure if I'll watch every minute of every race but I'll catch a lot of them .
martinfan5 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Only watching the 600, not a open wheel fan, but this is one of the best weekends for race fans , If the F1 race was not on so bloody early, I would watch it, just for the location really
MachinistMark Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Might watch the f1 race. Indy I don't care for at all and nap car is better than ambien
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 NBC streamed Monaco live this AM, and Nico Rosberg won it for Mercedes (a first at Monaco) on the 30th anniversary of his dad Keke winning the same race. Pretty cool.
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I haven't been keeping up with Indycar racing for a while, and though the Chevy 2.4L V6 engine win was impressive and shows off the company's engineering ability to good effect, limiting the chassis to Dallara-only and the engine choices to either Honda or Chevy make the whole thing a big yawn for me. Give me the technical variety, innovation and experimentation like we used to have, please oh please.
o-man Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Have watched all three live in between working on models and playing with my son. Hopefully I can stay awake for end of NASCAR race. Hopefully no more red flags for technology failures, and hope fans that went to med center didn't suffer too bad injuries from camera guide ropes
mikemodeler Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 Did not get to see the end of the Indy 500 but glad that TK won it, have always liked him as a racer. I can't believe the cable incident in the 600, I am sure some drivers have a legitimate complaint against Fox Sports if their car suffered damage and they don't finish the race. Sad to hear some fans were hurt, although is sounded like nothing too serious.

Mike, it was shown that it was a rope, not a cable, either way, it sucked that some fans did get hurt, and I hope the all a speedy recovery
Draggon Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Dont forget the F-2 race just before the F-1. I got all 4 races in, tho I missed some of the Indy due to a prior commitment.
