Built this AMT kit straight out of the box. 5 coats of Tamiya's black out of a can and no clear. The redwalls are SATCO dry transfers.

Great build! I like it in black. I recently built that kit. It had a warped chassis and many fit issues. Yours looks really good!

Smart move on skipping the roof and making it a convertible. Building the hardtop version was a nightmare. Yours looks GREAT!

Everyone I've seen use that Tamiya black has had nothing but good results with it.

Frankly, I think that's the best-looking build of that kit I've ever seen.

I have only had luck once painting black and that was 20 years ago on a English taxi. Now I am building a replica of my '76 Monte Carlo and I have stopped due to not wanting to screw up the black. This might be the bump I need to continue. Looking awesome!
