Lyle Willits Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I was extremely honored to have this car on the cover of Model Cars Magazine in April of 2002. Built this about 6 years ago. It's called "Spooky". The main purpose of the car was to showcase the spiderweb photoetch from The Model Car Garage. Blood drips and eyeballs were handpainted. Early Pontiac mill with the spiderweb "hothood" Handpainted eyeball on the shifter.
VictorSmalls Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Great theme build. Very nice attention to detail.
novadose71 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I alway's thought this was a cool build, looks like it's holding up well. I don't think I have ever seen this Hoodz set used on another build. BTW Where did the hubcaps come from? They look familiar, but I can't quite place them.
James W Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Nice to see some different views of this now famous model. Thanks for posting them. Rob, I think those might be the 60 Ford hubcaps, I once built a 32 rod just to use them.
Lyle Willits Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Rob, I think those might be the 60 Ford hubcaps, I once built a 32 rod just to use them. Yep. They are AMT '60 Ford caps with the red band painted on.
Daniel Peterson Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Glad you posted it again...I've seen it several times before and only just now noticed the blood seeping from inside the body onto the frame. Brilliant.
Randy Kern Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Very cool as always, Lyle. The only thing it needs is a sarcastic, grumpy old skeleton in the driver's seat!
Jantrix Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Man I love it!. The dripping red (blood) paint is an awesome touch.
