....Just kinda what happens when ya' keep one around a little too long on the "Nope, I ain'ta gonner sell 'er. Gonner fix 'er up sumday" theory. B)

I have thought that frequently when watching American pickers. SOOOooo many times, I have seen people pass up offers on stuff that I see "becoming one" with the dirt, and just can not wrap my mind around why they will not sell something that they are letting rot. Money in hand, someone else benefits by getting something they want and now it may have a new life etc... just don't get it.

looking at it again.too much dosnt make sense.photoshop

Maybe, but I don't think so. These cars are unibody, made of SHEETMETAL, with a heavier gauge hat-section, sheetmetal subframe to feed the front suspension loads into the rest of the structure.

If the seals on the side windows were leaking (ya think?) and water got into more of the front structure through the un-sealed hood opening, and it sat for YEARS, that's exactly where the car would break in half.

Also, look at the slime line on the front tire. If it's legit, the car's been sitting in water ABOVE the level of the floors and rails.

Im not saying its not possible.

why I say photoshop is the front clip appearing to be at opposite angle of the body and at least 3/4 's off to the right of the truck.if the floor got this rusty to break and the slime lines so high on the tires why are there still rocker panels? The rear spring mounts must of broke too because the rear end looks like a AWB.The rear wheel looks too pontiac to me.Also why is there no marks on the truck from the tire being dragged on the bed

...You could be right...but the rockers don't look all that great to me. I've seen stuff rust away and leave not much more than a paint-film in the original shape. The rear spring hangers are only attached to sheetmetal structure as well...easily accounting for the forward positioning of the axle when they broke free. And there DOES appear to be a tire mark from dragging a rear tire, directly under and forward of the firewall. :)

That has to be the most irritating problem with cars now, forget to change the frame oil and the dang front end just falls right off!

Must have been from the midwest...

You gotta remember those cars are over 40 years old now.

Still funny because it's not mine. :)
