1972coronet Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Gary , that is one super nice Chevelle ! I believe that the original silver that was employed by Chevrolet on that year A-Body was 'Cortez Silver' . It's been my number one fave colour on '68-'72 Chevelles / Malibus since 1981 , when I used to see a 1970 SS-454 El Camino pass me on my way to school . I saw that El every day from 1981 - 1986 ! Keep up the spectacular work , Gary
hvymtl Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Very nice clean build love the silver ! A color not seen alot on these Michael
Skydime Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 (edited) I love 70 Chevelles. There used to be a red and black one parked and abandoned behind my neighbor's house when I was little. Silver really looks good on yours. If the kit had bad chrome, you sure did a good job hiding it! Edited August 20, 2013 by Skydime
drodg Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Clean build and it looks very correct for a stock Malibu SS. I like the color and the correct ride height etc.
Guest Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Very nice looking Chevelle Gary! The silver paint really suits it. One of the best examples I've seen of this kit!
Monty Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I had no idea this kit could look that good out of the box. Mine's been shelved for over a decade because I assumed I'd need all kinds of upgrades to make it look presentable, but your build proves otherwise. Congratulations on completing such a clean build with a sharp, if not as common, color. We promise not to tell the Ford guys. Anyone else think AMT screwed up the trunk decals for this kit?
69NovaYenko Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Awesome looking build and I really like the color. My compliments!!!

Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Nice! And thanks for not painting it red
