Gary , that is one super nice Chevelle !

I believe that the original silver that was employed by Chevrolet on that year A-Body was 'Cortez Silver' .

It's been my number one fave colour on '68-'72 Chevelles / Malibus since 1981 , when I used to see a 1970 SS-454 El Camino pass me on my way to school . I saw that El every day from 1981 - 1986 !

Keep up the spectacular work , Gary :)

I love 70 Chevelles. There used to be a red and black one parked and abandoned behind my neighbor's house when I was little. Silver really looks good on yours. If the kit had bad chrome, you sure did a good job hiding it!

Clean build and it looks very correct for a stock Malibu SS. I like the color and the correct ride height etc.

Very nice looking Chevelle Gary! The silver paint really suits it. One of the best examples I've seen of this kit!

I had no idea this kit could look that good out of the box. Mine's been shelved for over a decade because I assumed I'd need all kinds of upgrades to make it look presentable, but your build proves otherwise. Congratulations on completing such a clean build with a sharp, if not as common, color. We promise not to tell the Ford guys. ;)

Anyone else think AMT screwed up the trunk decals for this kit?

I certainly hope that Revell , et al. , are paying attention to this thread , and the threads just like it ... *cough* new *cough* Chevelle *cough* please :D

And with black stripes too this time!
