wheaton79chris Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Throwing this together from several different kits that were parts cars. Lets see how it goes
charlie8575 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 You have the parts to get off to a good start. Charlie Larkin
MsDano85gt Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I love seeing how these mishmash partbox projects turn out!
wheaton79chris Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 Different set of wheels. Do they look better?
outragis Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Looking good, I've made a couple parts box smash-up Saturday night race cars, they are fun!
Pat Minarick Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Changed my mind again What are these from, I like them? Nice job so far !
wheaton79chris Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Road runner: they are from a early 80's monogram t-bird kit. Any of the early cars or even the double kits such as the kulwicki schrader combo or the Parsons bonnett kit should have them. Thanks for the comments guys
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Cool build. Just like dragging 1:1 bits and junk out of the boneyard to put together something to race.
charlie8575 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Looking good so far. Reminds me of my dad's ex-boss, who had a Monte he went short-track racing in; this is very similar in flavor and execution to what Fred had. I know he went racing at Stafford Srpings, and I think there was one other short-track on the Mass/Ct. line he'd go to periodically. Charlie Larkin
wheaton79chris Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Only see one place I will have trouble and that is matching up front and rear firewalls. Then I gotta make a way for the Hood to sit on it since I cut out all the inner fenders and firewall from the stock Monte Carlo body
wheaton79chris Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Drilled for a fuel filler from one of the stock car bodys
slusher Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Your build is coming along great Chris, very nice work...
