Does anyone know of one in progress? Only reason I ask is my dad had one years ago and he's always said that if I find one he wants one built. Hopefully there's one on the horizon soon!!!

Thanks Danno

Be very careful dealing with Reliable Resin... you probably will not get the product plus you will get cursed out and deal with the rudess person in the hobby... Just beware...

Reliable Resins is now Castenparts on Evil Bait . I contacted Matt in January or Febuary this year about the '70 Javelin he still owes me .. you know the one I paid for in 2011 . Ah yeah , I never got . He told me I would have it in March . No Javelin , no further communications . The last two private messages went unanswered . Ebay has closed these messages out . I did copy the communications we exchanged there and Email . If you would like to see these , I can arrange this . It must be fun to Rippoff fellow modelers IMHO . I was a dummie , I held off filing a Complaint at Evilbait . I did find this to be untimely when I did do it . BBB is too late also . I believed his "Story" . A death in the Family is indeed a tradgety . He is a member here BTW . Matt , Sleep well my friend . You do get what you give in this life . Thanx ..

I hear ya guys. Thanks for the heads up. At this point I may try to alter the Mustang that's out now into a vert. May be the only chance I have, at least that way I can trust the guy behind it right??!! Well, er, ah, maybe.... LOL

I believe that Reliable Resin Makes one in 1/24th.

Order it in 1/24 scale, pay your money, but you're likely as not to get a 0/0 scale product.

Reliable Resins is now Castenparts on Evil Bait.

Don Theune runs Reliable Resin and doesn't sell on eBay, while Matt Conte (formerly Lookout Resin and DEN-CON) sells on eBay under the use name you mentioned.

If you want the best Mustang LX notch or hatch, I suggest you wait for the one Mike/Greg are working on. It looks to be the best so far, and the new Revell Mustang LX underpinnings are the most modern and only 1/25 scale version available now, and IMHO, the best to build any 1/25 scale conversion upon.

When the corrected notch is out, we will decide on what the next body style will be. It will probably be the one that is requested the most. The convertible will be a bit more involved than cutting the roof off of the coupe; the top well trim will have to be added to the 1/4 panels and the tulip panel, the windshield frame will have to be smoothed and re-contoured, visors added, the inside 1/4 panels that the top frame folds into will have to be made, rear seat narrowed to fit, and the boot and up-tops will have to be modified from the Monogram 1:24 parts to fit and look correct. The trunk rack strips would be cast into the trunk lid, along with the external hinges, and the rear hoop would be cast separately.

Also, the provided kit seats would depict 4 cylinder base LX seats, and not the sport seats that GT and 5.0 LX Mustangs were equipped with '90-'93. I would have to see what other kits could donate correct looking seats, and how much it would take to configure them for this model. All of this would load poor Greg down with lots of parts to cast for this convertible, which is also a consideration. The trans-kit couldn't be sold as inexpensively as the coupe body, so that would be another consideration.

The hatchback would require just the body with rear spoiler cast-in, a rear interior extension, and the glass. First things first, we'll get the coupe out and in the hands of the builders, then we will see how much interest is in the two other body styles.
