MitchP Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Bill - the safety harnesses are A-1. I won't say where, but I got a sheet of "fabric" full harnesses that don't look anything like the real thing. May ask where you got yours and how much? Thanks!

Truck parts Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Looking good so far. Like the blue you are using. I built one of years ago.
MitchP Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Bill: Did you make the zoomies yourself? If so, I thought about the process I'd use and just give me a hint if my parts list sounds right: 1 styrene hollow rod of the largest size tubing, 1 of the next size down and finally one of the smallest (I'd use solid rod and dremel out the tips to appear hollow). The sections would fit together like Russian nesting dolls and the zoomies would be bent using a template, a low heat source and some gentle bending tool. Am I going in the right direction?
brett Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Mitch, apart from the funnycars circa around 89/90 (somebody please speak up if the years are wrong) no other cars I'm aware of ever stepped down the pipes like that,Most blown alcohol car just use a 2 1/4 -2 1/2 inch tube for each pipe, so you really only need a single piece of rod and drillout the end. I always manage to crush the end using tube and although its a bit tedious drilling out the ends I didnt waste as much rod as I did tube trying to bend them. Bill the car looks great, did you get any further with it ?
