So, I have officially deemed myself an idiot. I haven't built a model in a very long time, so I decided to get back into it, and have been stocking up on big rig kits, paint and supplies [and reading this forum a ton]. I decided on big rigs, as I knew somewhere in my attic I had a 1/25th Wilson livestock trailer that was un built, and was my grandfathers that he bought new 'back in the day'.

So yesterday after I got home from work, I decided to dig out the trailer to put it with all the other trailers I have. I get up in the attic [which looks like an episode of hoarders] and get looking around. I find the trailer in about 2 minutes and set it aside, all of a sudden, I spot another model box behind a pile of other stuff, so I take a closer look, and find these..

these have been up there so long, I completely forgot I had them! I guess when my revell auto transporter shows up, I don't have to buy anything to build to put on it, lol.

Cool find. I'm somewhat tempted to look in my Dad's attic to see if any I built in my early teens are still there. If so, they have probably warped from the heat.

ya, forgotten treasure, lol. I was talking to my son this morning and he says I should have more stashed away in boxes wrapped in shopping bags.......maybe i'll hunt around more tomorrow up there and see if he's right.......

Best I did was when I was insulating the attic in my old house. As I pulled out the old thin insulation, I was rewarded with a bunch of old Johan model parts. Mostly small stuff, but I was happy to find them. No doubt from a previous occupant of the house.

Welcome to my world. When we moved in 2009, I had to repack a bunch of model kits for transport. I found stuff I had completely forgotten about, some in duplicates.

I had been wanting a PT Cruiser convertible for some time. I kept looking at shows and hobby shops but nobody seemed to have one. Then I sorted out my hoard and found two of them. Never remembered seeing them before!

as was mentioned in another thread I was reading, they tend to breed at night, that must be the answer B)

Everyone likes A-bodies. Even those who say they don't, secretly do. B)

Personally, I'd love to find one of those AMT 'Caminos in my stash. For some reason, I love cars that can't decide whether they are a passenger car or pickup truck.
