Hello Everyone!

Started building Automotive 1/24-25 again about 3 month ago, I'm 51 and live in San Jose CA, I’m working on Ohio George Montgomery's '33 Willy’s Gasser at the moment. I have been away from the model building seen for some time now I got back into it Couse of having knee surgery And need it something to do when I was off of work. Forgot how much I really love building models. And all the new tips and tricks that you all are doing, love this forum.

Welcome Jim. Let me warn you that you've made a dangerous decision to get back into modeling. From now on it's all you will be able to think of! We've got you and won't let go! :D

Welcome to the forum from Hollister

you'll find scale car modeling is still very big in Northern California, even though most of the hobby shops have dissapeared (San Antonio Hobby) or gone downhill (D&J Hobbies).

Put the 2014 NNL West February 1st on your calendar, biggest car model show in Northern California...non competitive show which allows modelers to bring a lot of model cars to display

hope to see ya there

Welcome to the forum,Jim. This is the best model car forum and as Curt said, modeling is still alive and well in this area. If you need anything, let me know. I had knee surgery about 2 years ago. Steve Prideaux

Welcome to the forum. Knee surgery was my route back into model cars too. It's still boatloads of fun and there are tons of great kits and aftermarket parts available. I only occasionally buy kits at the hobby shop any more. I mostly get mine at model contests and other shows.
