Tires and caps also from Revell Merc kit with a small bullet added to each wheel cover. Tailights frenched in. Scratchbuilt side trim mimics '58 Ford trim. Gold candy-wrapping foil paper applied with white glue. Paint is Tamiya plum crazy metallic and lots of polished clear. Frenched headlights are the King Bees from a Revell '32 ford kit. Tuck & roll made with half-rounds and piping is very thin plastic rod painted Polly Scale German Mauve (light purple). Used the kit flathead with some detail added. Scratchbuilt the steering box and column. This is what it may have looked like in a 1962 Car Craft magazine.
dub Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Looks dynamite! Another knockout, as usual. I really dig the b/w pic at the end.

RodBurNeR Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 great job Lyle! Traditional kustom it is!
Fisher61 Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 A very tastefully done custom! The flathead looks great, interior is beautiful, and the side trim puts this build over the top! Great job!
Andy Wyatt Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Very nice as always Lyle! Flatheads Rule!
Gregg1LE Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Outstanding job ! Perfect stance, color, and detail !
ramonesblues Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 This is perfect period custom. The side trim is true inspiration!
RatRod Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 That is a beauty Lyle!!! I really like the gold candy foil idea, as BMF's gold foil is very finicky, and the gold rubs off so easy.
