This is my first model in almost 20 years! This is also my first post. lol I was inspired by a mustang that my father had restored about 10 years ago. Im trying my best to get this thing to look like his. I have learned alot from all of you here on MCM and am applying alot of what im learning to this mustang. This is also my first attempt at BMF. Wish me luck!

Here is the stang my dad restored

Also if anyone can give some direction on where I can find some wheels like the ones on my dad's stang that would be greatly appreciated!!

Looking really good! Great paint for no practice in 20 years. Nice Mustang, too. Your dad had good taste. The Revell Alternomad had wheels like that, but they may have a bigger diameter than what you need. Keep us updated...

The Revell '65 Chevy stepside pickup also has something similar.

Thanks for the kind words James! When I was younger painting the body was always my stumbling point. I always ended up with runs or fish eyes. Since I've gotten back to it I've done a bit of reseach between here and youtube I finally get it! lol Thanks for the tip on the wheels I'll have to check it out.

Nice work on the Mustang! Check out the wheels in the above photo- Revell snap '63 Corvette convertible. Your spokes may be wider but same overall idea.

I think the AMT 55 Nomad or 55 sedan have the wheels you need, I'll check my stash later tonight and check back tomorrow.

Good Looking out Tom. I'll look into it!

Thats a hell of a nice looking car Bob. Both the real one and your model. The paint looks killer. Does he still own the real car?

Thanks Jay! Actually he got rid of it but traded it for a fastback of the same year. Plus the fast back is a factory numbers matching GT so I think ended up on top on that one. He is finishing up a 68' Fairlane prostreet with a 532 big block. Its going to be my next build, but one thing at a time! lol

Thanks for checking on it for me Rusty! I just think if I can find wheels close to them it would make the difference. BTW I know another Rusty Shackleford that lives in TX. LOL

Finally had some time this afternoon to get this thing closer to being done. I think I'm going to continue my search for the wheels I want in order to finalize it.

Check with pegasus hobbies in montclair, ca. for the wheels.

Good call Mathew! I'm currently checking with them...haven't found anything yet but I'm not giving up lol. They do have some nice wheel options. I just pick up some of thier IROC wheels for a 57' Belair I'm currently working on.

I did find these through pegasus but they dont have any info on how big they are.

They have two varieties one 19" and the other are 23" style. On the Pegasus site they claim 1/24 scale

I ordered both sizes, here you have a picture with the 23" in front and back.

The plan was to add the small ones in the front but they shipped only big ones.

I have the 19" now, if you want i can take a picture tonight under the body.

The 19" looks very good, the 23" are too big for front wheels in my opinion.

Any luck with the wheels man? I looked through all my stuff and through some stuff my friends have but no luck. sorry bro.

No worries Matt thanks for looking! I'm going to order the 19s from pegasus and see how they look. I'm affraid that they might be on the big side but if they are I'll just save them for a future build.

Btw these are another type of Pegasus wheels, 19" in front and 23" in back.

This is the perfect size if you ask me :D

Thanks for the pics Arno it helps to see the sizes in comparison. That Camino is going to killer!
