Longbox55 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I know the sanders you mean, they're pretty neat for getting into tight areas. I got mine from Hobbytown.

PappyD340 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 My Hobby Lobby has some sanding sticks that are called needle sticks I believe, they actually look like a small shapened pencil, don't recall the manufacturer's name.
Mike Kucaba Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 Thanks, Those I can get and have some grits already. Maybe someone will contact me from Steven's.
Casey Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Are these the sanding needles, Mike?: http://www.elmcityhobbies.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14_72&products_id=1140&zenid=70d5a75187c849fcced88cca9dabca6e
Mike Kucaba Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 Those are the ones I have, but not what I'm looking for.
Exotics_Builder Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Mike, are you looking for Micro-surface polishing swabs? If yes, you can order them from Micro-Surface or (beleive it or not) Peachtree Woodworking. Micro-Mark used to carry them, but not in their current catalog. Edited October 8, 2013 by Exotics_Builder
Mike Kucaba Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 Thanks Gerry, I googled abrasive swabs ( and no, a link to angry sailors didn't come up) but I had no idea what an industry swabs were. I'll check them out.

I'll check them out. Good one. I bought a set of those from Micro Mark a couple of years ago. They work well in final polishing of some areas. When I first read your topic, I too thought of those Alpha Abrasive Needle Sticks (that only go down to 320 grit). Then when you updated, I thought of those. Gerry
Mike Kucaba Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks Gerry, I ordered the 5" set from Peachtree. They had the most reasonable shipping! Others I tried wanted 12.00-15.00.
