Hey guys this is my 55 vette, my goal on this build was to try and capture what a backyard one man drag team of the late 50's early 60's might have looked like, box stock except for an altenator bracket and plug wires. Paint is Testors one coat copper metallic with Rustoleum 2X gloss clear top is Rustoleum gloss black with 2X clear, wheels and tires are out of the parts stash, and BMF. This is the first build in about 10 years. All comments welcome!! :D

It does have that "back in the day" look about it. That kit requires quite a bit of bodywork and you did a nice job with it. Looks great.

Only thing, I would have sourced more detailed era correct carbs ..... Great looking build, you captured the era, nice job!!!

Thanks Alan, TBH I didn't even think about changing the carbs, probably got some in the parts box somewhere.

Very Cool! It sure looks "Period Perfect" build to me. I like the stance and wheel and tire choice. Smooth paint and great overall look... I really like it.

My fave years for the Corvette just happen to be 1955-1957 .

Thanks John
