lanesteele240 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Here is what im using from the kit Im only going to use one of the engines Not sure if im going to use this armor plate from a tamiya M1tank but i am going to make some. Got to find or make a 50 cal to go up top. Going to keep the engine in the rear Going to move the driver back to the front. Going to add some big guns up front
cahilj Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 If you can find an M2 in 1/24 you'd be my hero.
lanesteele240 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) I cant bring myself to rob that m1 tank so i picked this up for 10 bucks at a local modle show. Tones of armor and hatches Im taking some of the cool out of the s'cool bus and making it more of a normal bus. I sanded the roof vents off. Covered the big hole in the roof and added the window half slat thingies. Im putting a floor in also. The s'cool bus had a racing style floor. Im going to scribe some floor detail in and put some stairs at the door. I may even open the doors up. So. Do you have any ideas to add to the scool bus. Should it be yellow or camo? Cow plow or bumper? Give me your ideas please. Edited November 12, 2013 by lanesteele240
lanesteele240 Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) If you can find an M2 in 1/24 you'd be my hero. You can call me hero. Should have one on the way These could work on the bus too Edited November 11, 2013 by lanesteele240
lanesteele240 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Here is some driver armor and i cut down a dash out a old chevy truck to fit the area. The whole dash went over to where the doors open. Top hatch where the m2 will be mounted Open hatch Edited November 12, 2013 by lanesteele240
redneckrodder Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I say paint it yellow camo with a plow like the onne on the front of the escalade in zombieland
lanesteele240 Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Got some more done I made some duley rims out of two of the strykers wheels. They will fit the build better than te racing rims/slicks My camera settings were jumbled up. Sorry. Here is one more
lanesteele240 Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 Cow plow Mooooooooooove Wheel wells
Wonderbread Kustomz Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Just keeps gettin better each time! I gotta grab one of these kits sometime soon...
lanesteele240 Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 I spraid the bus with red primer. Then i shot the school bus yellow all over. I tried to go light to give a shight rust/weAthered look. Then i masked off the armor plate and spraid them too I found some ugly green to go on the inside. I also used the roll cage out of the scool bus as the standing platfrom of the M2 gunner
lanesteele240 Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 I also brushed on the rust solution on the "welds" and on the bottom of the bus. I had to add some two part putty back in where i got carried away with the drimmel. Ill post pics in the morning of how the rust came out after i put the activator on
kilrathy10 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Imagination.....The greatest tool ever.....This is gonna be pretty cool.....
lanesteele240 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 So let down So i go on ebay. See all the willys jeeps with m2's see one that is 5 bucks cheaper from hasegawa, plop down the money an bam. It has a .30 cal machine gun. Im pulling my hair out. The ebay listing plainly said jeep with m2 50 cal The .30 in 1/24 is about tge size of the .50 in 1/32 So stinking mad right now.
lanesteele240 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 And the rusting set was a bust. Worked great in test but crud on the modle.

lanesteele240 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Did alittle more on this one. Mudded the tires and put some chain link on the inside to keep the bad guys out Here are the headers painted with the rust base. I made sure it was mixed and then applied the other solution. Will see what they look like soon Edited November 23, 2013 by lanesteele240
