olsbooks Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 WOW! That is a mean looking rig. You hit the weathering just right! What all did you use for the sleeper trim and bedding?
kilrathy10 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I was just thinking the same thing that Jesse, said....That is one mean looking truck....Them Aussie rigs are some BEASTS, Dude.....And this one is a fitting representation of one of those things....Awesome work.....The weathering is just fantastic!!!!!!!
Bennyg Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 You've done a fantastic job. You should do a tutorial on opening doors and plumbing trucks. That's one of the best I've seen. Send Nigel Lowe the pics as well. Auslowe is on Facebook. They would be pleased that someone has done such a fantastic job on their conversion. Ben
griffin Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Thanks Ben, the pics are allready on the fb from auslowe mate. They liked it gr christiaan
BigBad Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Awesome replica of an awesome Kenworth! I really like it. By the way, Auslowe recommends using the Moebius-Revell Lonestar kit as donor. Is that the one you used? I see you have all kinds of stuff of different kits in there, I was wondering. Good job!

Yes mate, the chassis is the Lonestar, the wheels from italeri and the tyres are from A&N. The decals from Modeltrucking and the pinstripes, bullbar, stoneguard and wheel arch flares from Auslowe. Rest is all scratchbuilt. Sorry but i cant upload big pics so i cant show my balast box. gr christiaan

BTW if you have no tool for resizing your pictures look for the free nSonic JPGCompressor. It is simple and fast.
