Jeremy Jon
Thanks Larry, Ron, Carl & Mike! yes, I'm anxious to be completed also, but ran into some unexpected trouble, so I've been busy rebuilding the body & modifications, then repaint entirely Had some problems with the clear coat, and decided easiest route was to strip the body, and repaint.... ...the primer and bodywork part line shading went well, after which moved on to first coat of white paint... ...then disaster! placed into the dehydrator, bought new, which read low, but was in fact hotter than that, and bodywork began to get soft ...fortunately I had the second body, so began immediately the same body modifications, as this project already over due! test fit shows the body high at front end, radiator beam needs to be further modified door hinged, and inner framework done to match door panel nose needs some further attention also, with gaps filled & front edge of hood needing extension for proper appearance + fitment
fitforbattle
What a bummer good thing you had another body but still... I'd be so mad I would put the build away for a couple of years.
DynoMight
What a bummer good thing you had another body but still... I'd be so mad I would put the build away for a couple of years. Same EDIT: What did you use for stripping the paint? I've been looking for a good one that won't burn my hands off. I found Simple Green works, but it kind of doesn't just peel off, I see that yours just came off of the hood. Thanks, Glenn Edited July 5, 2014 by DynoMight

Mack_Mechanic
Sorry about the bad luck You also have patience of a saint,if that happened to me I probably would have thrown a massive temper tantrum and thrown the whole lot in a box and not touched it again for a few years. Jeremy Jon
Thanks guys, it has indeed been frustrating, but progress is being made, and this thing will be finished, or die trying!! LOL In the body paint/decal/polish/assembly stages now, had to acquire more decals (thanks Ben!), but back well underway again!
