So I just recently completed my forth model. I am learning a few things along the way. This kit was pretty decent. I did't like that almost the entire engine was molded chrome. If I could do it again I would have stripped the chrome off and painted a few more parts. Oh well, what's done is done. I love the paint color on this thing. The car on the box makes the model look like a terrible one. Enjoy:

Wow that is a great looking build. You're right, the box for that kit is AWEFUL. I love the factory slant nose 930s but I've always skipped that car because the box looks so bad. You did a great job!

If you're looking to strip chrome bleach works great. I just bought the one gallon of clorox and keep it under my bench. Throw the parts in a small throwaway zip lock box, stir to make sure the parts are all coated and wait over night.

Keep up the good work!

Cool Porsche, I like it! Great paint job. What paint do you use?

Agreed. And I'd also like to know the brand and color of paint.

I used Testors Lacquer Paint. The color code is 1849 Graphite Dust. I love this color a lot. I want to build all my cars in this color!

Thanks man! Yeah that cover is so terrible. I had second thoughts on buying the kit because of that cover. Thanks for the chrome stripper tip. I am going to do that in the future. I like the way painted parts look rather than straight up chrome everything unless its like exhaust tips or so.
