FAST442 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Anyone cast a 68 cutlass or 442 transkit to use with the AMT 69 kit??
DrKerry Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Bandit Resins also has one. It's the F-85 442 http://www.banditresins.com/1968_olds_sedan.html
dimaxion Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Modelhaus conversion is the 442 Version . I have this as a WIP . The '68 MY 442 is a Stand Alone Model . IIRC the F-85 was dropped by the '66 MY ? Thanx ..
Craig Irwin Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I've got the Modelhaus parts and they are first rate! Also, I worked at an Oldsmobile / Cadillac dealer back in the 70's, the last car I saw badged as an F-85 was a 1973 A body (same as a Cutlass "S"). It even had a 3 on the tree!.
FAST442 Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 Ordered the Bandit Resins 68, wanted to do a post coupe ramrod 350 anyway. Not sure of last year F-85, but I own a 71 F-85 post coupe drag car.
dimaxion Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Thank you for the information . I stand corrected . Thanx ..

george 53 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Modelhaus comes with a hood, grilles both front and rear bumpers, plated, and the proper separate red tailight lens's. Just fill in the openings on the trunk and quarters, and your good to go. It's a VERY easy conversion. Edited December 3, 2013 by george 53
gtx6970 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 except the interior patterns between 1968 and 1969 share nothing alike
w451973 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Actually 68 and 69 interiors are alot alike except 68 does not have headrest and the ignition is on the dash instead of the column like 69 and up. You might be thinking 69-70 being different.
george 53 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Den's right. I have both 68 and 69 JoHan 442's and the pleats on the seat bottoms and backs extend to the sides on the 69 but NOT as far on the 68 seats. Little thing, but you COULD fake it inna pinch, they're THAT close.
w451973 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'd like to find some too... Check out this thread. If we get enough interested it may purswade ........... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82259
