Jordan White Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Per the title, post any plow trucks you've built (pickup truck, van, or SUV)! I'm planning on building one using the AMT C1500 kit, so I'd like to see what other people have done.
cavemanx Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Mine without the plow. It has the plow mount on as you can see, a rack with an amber light bar on top. It has a Cb antenna with a Cb radio mounted to the ceiling in the cab, and had the typical truck dent in the rear bumper. Had a tailgate with a couple dents in it, but it broke, so I got a new one and don't feel like destroying it. I'll see if I can find a pic of it with the plow on. Edited November 23, 2013 by cavemanx
dptydawg Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 The green parts are from a Liberty Classics diecast Canadian Tire bank. The running gear is from a Revel CJ7 kit. The engine is a Mopar crooked six with a push button Torqueflyte trany. the plow and flatbed and weight box are all scratch built. Thanks Carl
Jordan White Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 Nobody else has any to post? I like what I am seeing so far!
Jared Roach Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Here's mine I built earlier this year, pretty much box stock revell gmc plow truck. Just added a few details and weathering. More pics in this thread http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71043&hl=
kjc99 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 These are my plow trucks, one is the GMC kit with a few things added and the other is the F250 kit with a lot of weathering and rust and a scratch built tool box. Both light bars are from tow truck kits.
Chuck Most Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 One I'm working on- it's the Revell Wrangler Rubicon, stretched into an Unlimited and fitted with the plow from the '77 GMC kit.
mikemodeler Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 One I'm working on- it's the Revell Wrangler Rubicon, stretched into an Unlimited and fitted with the plow from the '77 GMC kit. Looking great Chuck! Will you be doing a half cab or full cab for that Jeep? You have given me an idea for a vehicle that I would love to own!
Chuck Most Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Looking great Chuck! Will you be doing a half cab or full cab for that Jeep? Half cab all the way, Mike- and I'm planning to keep the bed area open, just so I can cram some 'stuff' back there. This'll be a workin' Jeep for sure.
