skymnky721 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Hi all,,just got back from the NNL #9 in Mtr city area,{ I reside about 7 miles from the show site} anyways,,,it was a great show,,all in all. Some amazing stuff on the contest tables. Heres my little buggy I entered for the tables. It was a AMT bantam blast kit,,but the frame grew a bit in length,,and it grew a few more wings,,and somewhere along the way,,it got an injected Boss 429 tossed in there.instead of the Hemi. So much for convention. At any rate,,I also made a few vids of the show,,so happy building,,and happy holidays!
PappyD340 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 AWESOME rig Scott, looks great, love the detail!!
skymnky721 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Thanks Pappy,,I didnt have the correct front end section for the 429,,so I had to use a nascar belt/pully setup,,and decided to put radiator in as well. Almost as if the guy pulled a 429 boss out of a mustang,,and put it in the dragster. The Car hauler is the AMT Ford C-600 Stake truck,,with a car hauler platform on back. Scratch built tire rack. The x-tra wings on the dragster body are exsaust tips from Revell 1/12h choppers. {circa 1968-74} A friend of mine has a Boss 429 {Real one} on a stand in his garage, gettin it ready to go in a 67 fastback 1:1 car. Milan Dragway soon after. maybe he'll let me drive it? lol {dont think so} Anyways ,,thanks for looking and the kind words,,happy holidays. S Edited November 26, 2013 by skymnky721
