Picked this AMT Promo up on my way home from work tonight, needed the Wheels for a Revell Challenger I'm building for a friend. Couldn't bare to think I paid MSRP for a set of wheels, so I played with it a bit after I saw one go by while having a burger at my favorite local diner after leaving the LHS. I adapted my style though of course, added a few more Retro throw backs as well.

Nick

and in case you were curious AMT is hand polishing these models, I found some polish residue in the panel edges and such.

You may think I'am harsh but the unbuilt Cuda looks good..The Challenger looks too much like a toy..Nice wheels if you paid retail for them but the rest is just a waste of money..Hope your burger was good....Sorry, but thats my two cents....

Much better. l wonder if they will ever go up in value...?

highly doubtful, the promo's of the late 80's are still going for $10-20 on average (with certain exceptions)

It's not "perfect", but for what it is, I like it. Great choice of wheels.

Not meant to be perfect, just wanted something to do to with it after I stole it's wheels/tires..............

The only thing I don't like about the AMT Challenger promos (and kits) is the way they did the uprights for the front spoiler- the whole thing gets painted black and it looks like there's a chunk missing out of the back of the bumper. Other than that anybody who thinks they look like "toys" needs to have their eyes examined. You said it was polished- I'm wondering is the body painted or molded in color?

Anyway, love how it looks with the stock wheels and the ones you added. There's a 1:1 light blue Challenger R/T in my area with wheels similar to the ones you put on this one. I kind of wonder how those stock Challenger wheels would look on the 'Cuda now.

Actually some parts of it were painted, but the main body and bumpers were plastic, it was polished before I even opened the box, found the white residue in some panel lines.

Hmmm I may have to attempt that Chuck, watch FB for pictures ;)
