Pete J. Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I like the idea of giving it back. It would be a great treat for both of you.
Nacho Z Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I agree with Pete. That is a very nice idea. I sure do like those old sailing ships. Although I have not actively looked for them I do not really remember seeing them in vendor areas at model shows, IPMS included. Hope you get it finished and post pics when you do!

Jim B Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 That frigate is looking really nice! I've been wanting to build one of these for a while.
Roadkill2525 Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Highly impressed by your craftsmanship of this build but at first I was expecting this.
gray07 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 ive got a few of these ships, i will never build, bought a guy out and these were in the deal, your build is awesome

Jim B Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Nice job on the standing rigging, and good luck with the running rigging. These ship kits can really be works of art.
Roadrunner Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Very nice indeed. I have the big (1:96 scale) Revell Constitution to get to, one of these days.
CometMan Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Very well done Dan, I was thinking of the ocean liner when I saw the name too! I have built my share of ships, mostly ocean liners and WWII era war ships, they can take detailing to a whole new level!
sjordan2 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I just saw that the owners of the ocean liner are preparing to restore it. Might be a good time to see if there are build journals to reference.

GTJUNIOR Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 The rigging is a pita, but the results speak for themselves. That is looking spectacular.
Jim B Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Looks fantastic, Dan Very well done. The rigging on the Santa Maria & Pinta will be much simpler than on a 18th century frigate.
