Patrick2005 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I have several cars I want to redo but most have decals on them. How can I safely remove them without hurting the body?
Nacho Z Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Simply apply tape over the decal, burnish it down and pull it off. You may have to do this several times.
1930fordpickup Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Do they have clear on them? I have soaked some bodies in water soapy before , and the decals came off.
slusher Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Soak the body in warm soapy water and then rub the decals with a soft sponge. Also before you soak it see what masking tape will remove dry...
Jantrix Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 My name is Rob and I approve all the above messages.
Guest Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 As John said, use tape. I use clear packaging tape to remove decals. Just rub it down good on the decal and give it a quick pull. If they have clear over them, you're outta luck.
