Thanks for your feedback. I just looked at the spray can and it did not specifically say lacquer or enamel. However, it recommended a VHT enamel clear coat, so I'm thinking it is enamel.

Don't fret about the color change.....I helped my daughter on her Enzo snap and we did it HOK pearl pink! It is in Under Glass somewhere.
