squirrel886 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Lowering the front suspension. The stance I'm looking for.
squirrel886 Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Front suspension mod, basically "Z'd" the front suspension. Some color on the body.
squirrel886 Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Interior Scratchbuilt hood scoop.
bpletcher55 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 BRADLY ,nice job so far those cars realy look better lowered,
slusher Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Solid start, great stance. What color did you use on the body??
Bernard Kron Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Super work so far. Gonna be slick when you're done! I'm glad you caught the tie-rod issue up front. I didn't when I lowered mine and it was a horror-show fixing it. Don't forget to check you engine clearances, too. Again, I didn't, and it was horror-show, part 2! Can't wait to see more, more, more...
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Killer wicked stance. Good thinking to raise the entire crossmember relative to the frame to lower the front of the car.
squirrel886 Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Thanks everyone! The color is Tamiya AS-6 USAAF Olive Drab w/ Testors semi-gloss.
squirrel886 Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 ...........and back to the bench to do some more work on the Deuces.
Bernard Kron Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) A few years back I stripped a set of the kit mag wheels and finished them in Testors Metalizer Burnt Metal, a very dark bronze color. I thought perhaps I would find a way to use them as a sort of anti-bling statement. As it turned out I found other ways to do that with the Willys Street Rod and never used them. Your combination of matte military color and black mags with black tires really works with the lowered stance and the modern scoop. Cool! Edited December 12, 2013 by Bernard Kron
squirrel886 Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 Thanks Bernard. I just wanted something different from what everyone else does. Gotta think outa the box sometimes.
slusher Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Thanks for the paint info Bradley, I love this build...
