lately ive been building abandoned,junker and barn finds in diecast. I use a real iron paint and then a mild acid wash so the rust finish you see is real rust- it works on plastic as well.

thank you guys-yes the realism is what its all about. to Scott Kobus-the paint I have used is called modern masters metal effects iron paint www.modernmastersinc.com is pretty much non toxic FS

Loved the Jag. Would like to know how you did the cobwebs. They are very convincing and realistic looking. I've done 1 1/25 scale junker in a diorama I built and have started on another that would benefit from some well placed cobwebs. Would love to know how you pulled it off.

Hi Paul- and thanks...the cobwebs are the real deal- I let these sit out behind the house a few years and they decorated themselves!!! part of my process is natural ageing by the elements-sounds crazy but it works for me.
